7Seas Connect is developing a proposed subsea electricity interconnector between Sicily and Tunisia. Conceived as complementary to ELMED, it is intended to add further cross-border transmission capacity and support a more secure, resilient and renewable Mediterranean energy system.
Project Hannibal is included in ENTSO-E’s 2026 Ten-Year Network Development Plan project portfolio.
